Radish Thogayal
Servings:
1 Cup = 250ml
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp channa dhal
- 1 tbsp urad dhal(white)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 5 dry red chillies
- Few curry leaves
- 1/4 inch piece of ginger
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1 cup grated radish
- Gooseberry size tamarind
- Salt as required
- 2 tbsp water
Method:
- Dry roast the dhals in a mediumium flame, until it turns golden brown and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan,add in the red chillies,curry leaves,ginger and grated radish(until raw smell of radish vanishes) for 10 mins in a medium flame.
- Then add in the coconut,roasted dhals,salt and tamarind,mix well.Switch off the stove.
- Allow it to cool and grind to a fine paste by adding little water.
- Serve with white rice or variety rice.
