Radish Thogayal


Radish thogayal is simple recipe made with ingredients easily available at our home.Its a great accompaniment for white rice & variety rice too.Lets see how to make this thogayal.



Servings:
1 Cup = 250ml

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp channa dhal
  • 1 tbsp urad dhal(white)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 5 dry red chillies
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/4 inch piece of ginger
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1 cup grated radish
  • Gooseberry size tamarind
  • Salt as required
  • 2 tbsp water


Method:

  • Dry roast the dhals in a mediumium flame, until it turns golden brown and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add in the red chillies,curry leaves,ginger and grated radish(until raw smell of radish vanishes) for 10 mins in a medium flame.
  • Then add in the coconut,roasted dhals,salt and tamarind,mix well.Switch off the stove.
  • Allow it to cool and grind to a fine paste by adding little water.
  • Serve with white rice or variety rice.
